Thank you for the generous donation from The Community Chest of Hong Kong

Last Thursday, we had the honour of welcoming a representative from The Community Chest of Hong Kong (the Chest) and one of their donors to the YDA Centre of Excellence office in To Kwa Wan. The Chest has recently made a generous donation of over HK$900,000 to YDA, which will directly support our members’ services and programmes.

During the visit, we had the opportunity to introduce our range of care and support services and share the impact we’ve achieved over the past year. We also had the privilege of hearing firsthand from a YDA member and her mother, who shared their experiences and challenges living with diabetes — and how YDA’s support has made a meaningful difference in their lives.

Children with diabetes face immense daily challenges, from managing blood glucose levels to planning meals and activities. These continuous demands affect not only the children but their entire families. YDA provides essential emotional and educational support to both young people with diabetes and their families, recognising that this is a shared journey.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Chest for joining us in building a healthy and brighter future. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of children with diabetes.
